A common question we are asked by clients is how much do accountants charge, so to answer this we’ve put together an instant online fee calculator which you can use to calculate the cost of your self employed accounts, self assessment tax return and more.
We’ll conduct a thorough review for standard tax planning opportunities 3 months before the tax year end, giving us time to discuss and implement any tax saving measures.
Shortly after the tax year end we’ll prepare your business accounts and self assessment tax return for you to review.
We’ll discuss your accounts and tax return, as well as answer any questions you may have.
Once you’ve approved the accounts and tax return online we’ll file them with HMRC.
We offer various levels of business partnering tailored to your specific needs, with the three most common options detailed below. All partnering services are available on either a monthly or quarterly basis.
Basic Service
Our basic service includes a quarterly profit and loss report detailing turnover, costs, and expenses. Each report is accompanied by our expert analysis, offering insights into your business’s profitability. Additionally, this service includes an income tax estimate to assist with tax planning.Basic Plus Service
The basic plus service includes all features of the basic package, along with a comprehensive balance sheet covering assets, liabilities, and equity to give a clear view of your business’s financial position. You’ll also receive a detailed cash flow statement to illustrate the movement of cash within your business.Standard Business Partnering
Our standard business partnering, our hallmark service, builds on the basic plus service by actively involving our business advisers as your partners. Together, we’ll define your goals, create a strategic plan to achieve them, and provide ongoing feedback, updates, and reviews to support your success.
We will draft your VAT return and send it to you, along with the detail behind the numbers to you for your review. We will also check you are on the most favourable VAT scheme and basis.
Once you have approved the return we will file it with HMRC.

Bookkeeping is the foundation to all the work we complete, our bookkeeping service will provide you with strong foundations to build your business.
Having a solid foundation puts us in the best position to advise you and give you an accurate position of your business.
We will process all your bank transactions, sales invoices, purchase invoices and expenses. We will also post any accruals, prepayments and depreciation. We will also reconcile your bank account and VAT control account (if applicable)
We can raise your sales invoice and provide debt collection services if required.
You can either drop off, scan or post your invoices and receipts to us, we can complete your bookkeeping on a weekly, monthly or quarterly basis.
Your invoices, receipts and paperwork will be stored and catalogued online by either Dext, AutoEntry or Receipt Bot depending on your needs.
Our bookkeeping service includes a basic subscription to Xero and complements our standard and advance business partnering service very well.
We will process your payroll on a monthly basis and provide you with payslips you can forward to your employees, along with P60s and P45s when applicable. If employees receive benefits in kind such as a car we will report this and provide you with a P11d.
We will submit your employer payment summary (EPS) and full payment submission (FPS), and tell you how much to pay over your employees, HMRC and pension provider (if applicable).
If you are a sub contractor under the construction industry scheme we will report your CIS deductions suffered.
We will verify subcontractors and prepare monthly payment certificates for all sub contractors. We can also prepare an annual payment certificate if you wish.
We will file the monthly return (CIS300) with HMRC and tell you how much you need to pay over to them.
If you are also a contractor we will report your CIS deductions suffered.
There’s no obligation to use Xero online bookkeeping software but we offer the choice. If you don’t already use Xero we will provide you with a log in so you can either manage the day to day operations of your business or if we complete your bookkeeping you can use the login to review your business position and performance. It can also be used to see which of your sales invoices haven’t been paid, or to see your unpaid purchase invoices and when they are due for payment.
Xero can be a good fit for small businesses and there are numerous third party apps and integrations which can help with bookkeeping and reporting.
We do offer alternatives, including free to use options but they may not have the same functionality.
Tax investigations are stressful enough, our tax investigation protection will cover the cost of our time in dealing with an enquiry or investigation from HMRC. It will provide us with the ability to deal with HMRC to achieve the best possible outcome without the worry of incurring a fee for dealing with it.
The online quote is based on our standard service for an average self employed business, we may be able to offer a reduced fee if your business is less complex.
